Dear Dr. Karas and Staff

I would like to extend my gratitude to all of of you who helped me through my Radial Keratotomy surgery last month. The discomfort I experienced during and after surgery was minimal, especially considering the fantastic results. Admittedly I was nervous of the surgery before hand, but the women assisting the surgery-and the 'before and after' part (In my case I believe it was Ann(e) and Susan)-were great in helping allay my fears and make me feel as relaxed as possible.

As for the outcome; within ten days after my second eye was operated on, not only was I seeing 20/20 but I was also back to work in full swing without any problems. In my job, being on air, I have to wear a lot of eye makeup and I'm subject to glaring bright lights, and yet within this short time period I was back to my usual routine. Also at my follow up appointment with the local optometrist, everything checked out as it should have, and the doctor was as impressed with the results of the surgery as I was.

I'm sure you've heard this before but it's hard to express the feeling of being able to see clearly, without any aid of glasses or contact lenses, when for twenty years I have been out of focus. I'm sure most people with myopia can only imagine what it would be like, but luckily for me I don't' have to imagine it any more! Eye sight is such a critical part of everyday living and It's hard to choose to put your sight in the hand of someone else, but now I'm thrilled that I made the right choice.

Thanks again Dr. Karas for doing your job with such precision. This was definetly the right move for me.

Sincerely, Susan Rogers
